Children's Day
Children’s day is celebrated every year on November 14th, on the day of Pandit Nehru’s birthday.
Objectives:
- To convey to children their importance in our lives and to our learning.
- To convey to children that they are loved and cared for.
- To make children aware of other children around the world – the achievers, the unprivileged, and the differently-abled.
- To help children see the healthy and positive aspects of life, and realize the assets in study, family and participation.
- To convey the importance of sensitivity, reason, integrity and courage in human life.
20th November is celebrated as World Children's Day to mark the adoption of the Convention for Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the United Nations in 1989.
