BCG Inter-School Art & Craft competition (2016-17)

Insight BCG organized 'Impressions', an art and craft competition for teachers and it was conducted at Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Vidyalaya (Borivali).

The competition had the following categories:

1. Art (Portrait Sketch) - Participants had to make a pencil sketch of their school mentor.

2. Art (Poster making)- Participants had to create a poster to display at the entrance of a special room in the school.

3. Art & Craft (Model making) - Participants had to design and create a Student Suggestion Box to be used at school.

4. Craft (Collage work) - Participants had to design and make a flag for their school.

Profiles of Judges

Mr. Ashley Fialho

"An Architect by training…, a teacher by calling…. and a child at heart….is how Ashley describes himself. He says that architecture has taught him that most problems can be solved by observing, listening, and applying the right amount of effort and common sense in the appropriate direction. Teaching has taught him how to refine those ideals, through patience and perseverance in guiding students through intense and challenging coursework. 

Ms. Sandhya Shevade 

A bachelor in Commercial Arts from Delhi College of Arts. After working for school TV at Doordarshan, Sandhya started teaching art. Later, her engagement with art continued as a freelancer, alongside some work in the animation industry. Right now Sandhya is engaged in her own E-commerce business of making unique handcrafted lampshades.

Mytri Warrior
Very passionate about art and craft, Mytri was closely involved with a school, helping them out in their initial years by giving inputs for art and craft activities for their fairs and exhibitions as well as organizing her own art, craft and jewellery exhibitions. Right now Mytri is closely involved with her own visual promotion company called ‘Warrior’s Touch’ that makes trailers for feature films.
